Guiding Goodness banner

Join Our Guiding Goodness Club:

The Nebraska Humane Society's Guiding Goodness Club is an opportunity for 12 to 16 year olds to obtain hands-on experience providing basic training and socialization to shelter animals through positive practice. The club will be held from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays in April and May. 

Details:

  • Initial training is REQUIRED and will be held on the first Tuesday of each month.
  • After initial training is completed, you may return to traing on any Tuesday or Friday of that month from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Space is limited to 10 junior trainers each month.
  • Session will be facilitated by Behavior Program Coordinator, Pascal Smith, and Humane Education Manager, Tracey Wieser.
  • This is a free club. Participants are required to pay for and supply their own training treats for each session. Suggested treats:
    • Hot dogs and string cheese (cut into small pieces)
    • Pup-peroni, Zukes, Blue Buffalo and Bill Jack
