Last year, nearly 30,000 animals found their way to the Nebraska Humane Society. Some were lost, some were injured, some were simply no longer wanted. All were frightened and confused. The animals need your help.
All expenses for animal welfare are paid for out of the Nebraska Humane Society's General Operating Fund. Therefore, your generous gift will be deposited in this fund to offset these expenses. Thank you for caring for homeless animals.

 On average it costs the Nebraska Humane Society $400 to care for an animal while it waits to be adopted. Help provide consistent funding for the care of thousands of animals by signing up for an automatic monthly credit card donation.

  Honor a loved one or beloved pet by making an honor donation. When making a donation of $175 or more you'll be able to have a special brick engraved and placed around the entry way to the Nebraska Humane Society.
 Caring for the animals at NHS can be costly. From food to vaccines, to spay/neuter surgeries and staffing our average cost for each animal is $400 per pet to prepare them for adoptions. Won't you consider helping the animals that come through our door every day.

NHS Pet Food Pantry
Did you recently switch dog or cat food and your pet doesn't care for it? We'll take the open bag of food and use to supply our Pet Food Pantry. By donating your food to NHS you're helping those who are having a hard time feeding their animals. We'll accept all kinds of dog and cat food. If the bag of food is already open we ask that you close it before dropping it off. Food donations can be dropped off at our Customer Service Counter from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday - Friday and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
