Gizmo Gizmo brought cheer back to our home My Tigger passed away in early July. I had rescued him for the pound when he was about 6 weeks old and he was by my side for 15 years. We have two other younger cats, but without Tigger, we just all seemed lost. I decided to go to the Nebraska Humane Society to find a "grandpa" kitty. I had several on my list and Gizmo was one of my picks. He won my heart as soon as he walked through the door. He began rubbing and giving me kitty kisses. He stretched out for belly rubs and purred the entire time. I had to meet my other two picks just to make sure I was making the right decision. Hands down, it was Gizmo! Back in the room he came, still with his loving demeanor and I immediately filled out the paperwork. He is 10 years old and we believe he is a Maine Coon. When he was brought to the shelter, he had already been neutered and had his front claws removed. He weighed only 8 pounds. When he lies down and stretches out he is about 36 inches, his height from foot to the base of this tail is about 14 inches and from head to rear standing he is about 20 inches. Gizmo is a gentle giant! He loves his new home and is infatuated with the two younger kitties. We are fattening him up and giving him all the love he wants! The two younger kitties are so glad to have a "grandpa" back in the house, and so are we! Gizmo brought cheer back to our home. |
