Wiley  Wiley He is the joy of our home. We adopted Wiley aka(Petey) August 2009. He was a little 11 lb terrier mix. As you can tell from the photo he has gained a little weight. He loves Mom's homemade pumpkin treats. I remember sitting in the greeting room playing with him as he sat on my son's lap much of the time giving doggy kisses. We were to look at another dog that day, but the volunteer said that another family was also interested in Petey; my son looked at me and said "Mom Petey is coming home with us." We took him home that day. He is the joy of our home. He loves to go for walks around the lake, lying in the sun or curled up on the ottoman at Mom's feet while she does paperwork. Since then we have added a 12 year old cocker spaniel/poodle mix Marlow who we adopted from a friend. He and Wiley are best buds. They mostly enjoy sleeping on the couch but do love going for walks. We have to spell walk in our house otherwise there is no peace until the boys go on their daily walk. Thank you NHS for all the work you do for these animal and the joy you bring to families. |
