My own little superhero

Who knew a little 15 pound ball of fluff could do so much for someone.
I adopted Flash, formally Redford, in early January. I've been without a dog for a few years after moving out on my own and I finally was ready for someone to greet me when I came home and someone to brighten my long days.
I named him Flash after my favorite superhero because well, he's fast! At a year old this boy has the energy of 10 puppies and loves his long walks but I think I'm the one getting more of a workout then him. He's changed my life so much in our short month and a half together I don't know what I would do without him. We go to training class (at NHS naturally) and while he isn't perfect we work together every day.
I have so missed the true love that comes with dog ownership. He woofs in his sleep, he rolls over on his back and swats at dust in the air when I clean, the way he paws at my knee when I'm stressed out at my desk. These little things just make me so happy just to be home with him and hug him so tight as he wiggles down to be held like a baby so he can go back to sleep.
I can only thank NHS from the bottom of my heart with how amazing they are with the dogs in their care from the moment they arrive to after they are adopted, and while Flash and I visit often ( we love the events they do) I swear Flash will never spend another night on the streets like he did before this amazing place found and saved him. In the process, you saved us both. Thank you.
