A surprise with Confetti

Confetti was a senior cat that we adopted from the Humane Society. She has a tragic past and we are so blessed to be able to love her and give her the life she deserves.
We adopted a senior cat named Confetti from NHS in 2011. She had an information sheet taped to her window giving details about her and her past. She had been abandoned and left to die. She had no food or water when NHS found her. At 9 years old, she weighed only a couple of pounds. The wonderful team at NHS rescued her and nursed her back to health. About a year later, she was up for adoption.
She was everything that I could have ever hoped for in a cat- sweet, beautiful, well-mannered, and looking for love. I quickly adopted her and brought her home to be loved forever. At 10 years old, and with her troubled past, I decided she deserved to keep her name.
We have had Confetti for 3 years. She is a happy, healthy 13 year old tortoiseshell. She is social but cautious, even after all the love and attention that she is showered with daily. I don't blame her and love her just the way she is.
I fear that day that I can't enjoy her soft nuzzles and humming purr. Until then, I just love her with all of my heart! Adopt a senior pet, they deserve to be loved!
