A Gift from God  Poppy After the lose of our 6 year old pug I was absolutely devastated. I was unsure if my heart would ever heal. The heartache of my 3 year old child walking around the yard yelling Giselle where are you for a week straight only added to it. Our other dog would literally scream at night in her kennel because for 6 years she would sleep with Giselle. Our house felt so empty. My parents finally encouraged me to go to the Humane Society and just take a look. After walking up and down the rows of kennels at least 20 times for some reason I was always drawn back to the second kennel I looked in. There she was laying in the back of her kennel with no response to anyone walking by and calling for her as though she was just exhausted. I knew the feeling of exhaustion from all the heartache I was going through. I just knew I had to have her. I told myself I would never replace Giselle but I really think she would love that we saved the life of another dog. She has brought a special Light to our home! Puts a smile on my face everyday and is so loving. I really feel like she was our gift from God to heal this family. We Love Poppy so much. |
