Our First Children

It was the first day of snow in the winter of 2010...

We went to the humane society because my wife and I wanted to adopt an older cat that she had seen online. He was a black cat and 7 months old, I believe his name was scooter. We got there and went to the front desk and asked for "scooter". They did not have any record of him being there even though his picture and everything was online. So we went looking at all the cats that were there and immediately my wife was drawn to the kittens in the front window. There were some all black and some grey, white, and black striped. My wife had always wanted a black cat, so we asked to go to a room to see if any of them would bond with us. We had two black cats in the room and one was so feisty but yet cuddly right off the bat and my wife did not want to put him down. We then asked to see one of the grey, white, and black striped cats, that cat did not warm up to us, so we asked to see the other one. It was then we fell in love with our Synyster(Black cat) and Graysie. Originally named Billie and Jillie. These two have been our pride and joy for the last 2 years and we always have referred to them as the babies. They really are like our first children. They are very smart. They like to drink from faucets, pop bubbles, and burrow under our blanket at night. We could not imagine our life without them. They are, after all, our first born children :D
