Lukes Success

A scared shelter pup learns to trust.

This is Luke. My mom and I adopted him in February of '13. At first, he was terrified of us. He wouldn't play with us or any other dogs. He would cower and tremble when we approached him to pet him. He hated our male neighbors, as well. He was very aggressive toward them.
But he has come around and is now the king of the house. When my mom or I approach him, he rolls over on his back in prep for a belly rub. He plays with the other dogs in the neighborhood. He goes and begs for attention from male neighbors always wanting his belly rubbed. He has a cow that he plays with. Recently, he allowed me to play with him and the cow.
He loves running in the backyard looking for rabbits and birds. He loves his walks, he could walk forever if we let him. He is happy, it's great to see.
When we come home, he dances in circles for us. Then we get a million kisses.
He has been a great addition to our family, and we can't thank you enough for your help. People cannot believe we got such an awesome little dog from NHS.
