17 Year old with heart of a kitten

Adopted Payton the Persian cat in August of 2011, she had one tooth and was scared of everything. They told us she just needed a home to spend her last years.

We went to the humane society a week before we actually adopted Payton, and she was the first cat that caught our eye, due to the squishy face. People passed by and made rude remarks, but we couldn't see anything but an adorable cat. We took back to the visit room and she instantly clicked with us, and our yarn. We went back a week later and made her our own. For the first month she was skeptical and hid under the bed the whole time, and batted us with her clawless paws, but after some space and tuna she warmed up to us. Its been two years now, and she is the happiest cat around. She has her own chair, loves looking out windows, a little chihuahua sister who she gets along great with, and always comes up to us to cuddle and purr. She is a totally different cat than the old grumpy we brought home, and fits perfect into our little family. Never made a better decision.
