When we first decided that we wanted to adopt a dog, we had an idea of what type of dog we wanted.

We had looked at the NHS website for weeks until we finally decided to stop in and take a look at a few puppies that we were interested in. The first puppy that we looked at was BamBam and he was the only puppy that we needed to look at. We were warned about his energy and playfulness, but we just had to take him home! Our first few days home, he slept and cuddled, and slept and cuddled and we were a little taken back by the warnings NHS had given us. Then Bam got comfortable with us and we started seeing all of his fun loving energy! He is definitely a handful, but he is the sweetest dog ever. He LOVES to cuddle with his mommy, and gets very protective and he LOVES to play tug-o-war with his daddy!
Although we were completely happy with our new little family, we still thought something was missing.
We started looking at the NHS website again. And again. And again. Then we went to NHS to look at dogs again. And again. And again. Then we took BamBam into visit dogs. Again. And again. And again. We began to wonder if there was even a dog out there that could keep up with Bams energy levels and playfulness.
Finally we met "Dude" (now his name is Bosley "Boz") and we knew that he was the one. He met Bam and they had the same energy levels and they played and played! It was not only a relief, but such a good feeling to see Bam get to actually PLAY with a dog that didn't get annoyed with him!
We obviously just had to take Boz home with us, and although when we adopted him, he was battling heartworm, he is now a healthy puppy with LOADS of energy! Boz and Bam play for hours and hours, love going to the dog park and on walks, and FINALLY when they are tuckered out, they both like to cuddle and watch TV with us.
We can't thank you enough NHS for giving us the opportunity to adopt such amazing animals which have become part of our family! We also can't thank you enough for helping us out on all of those visits we made to the facility!
Love,
Linsey, Trent, BamBam, and Boz
