Berkshire Bogie

Every year at the Berkshire Hathaway meeting, the good folks at World Book generously share their booth space with NHS...

...Dogwalker volunteers take a few dogs to the meeting in hopes someone might come along and meet their forever friend. My daughter Mia helped me again this year, and we took Bogie, a 12-year old Shih Tzu. It wasn't long before Mia asked if WE could adopt Bogie. The request took me by surprise, but I couldn't think of a good reason to say no -- because I didn't have one. Bogie came home with us that afternoon and joined our family. He fits right in and is perky and happy. He gets along great with our 6-year old Wheaten Terrier, even if his nightly romantic overtures to her are ignored. So, thank you World Book and NHS. And a special thank you to Serena for choosing Bogie for us!
