Rockin' Rocco  We have been looking for a rescue dog for the past couple months and none seemed to quite fit for us... We went to the Humane Society early last Saturday morning, not sure of what our success would be. We stopped by a kennel with a tiny little puppy named "Archie". When we put our hands out to meet, Archie growled. We could see behind his beautiful big eyes that under that scared boy there was a lover. We asked to get a room with Archie to see if we'd be a fit. When the Humane Society worker brought him in she reassured us that he was very very scared and might not warm up to us. At first he hid in the corner and shook with nerves. Once we sat on the floor he sniffed us out and cuddled right up. Our hearts were warmed and we knew right then that he was the one! We followed through with the adoption and it's been the best experience! Archie, who later became Rocco, was found as a stray. He is about one-year-old and approximately 5.4 pounds. The equation for perfect :) Because he was a stray and so young, we didn't know his level of training. We have been working on potty training, obedience and other basics. We have been very impressed with his success and find great progress when rewarding with treats. Rocco is the love and joy of our lives and we are so glad we were able to give him a better home! |
