Dante  When my husband and I went to the humane society we weren't planning on getting a dog yet We had been looking at pet supplies for our cat at a nearby Pet Store and on a whim decided to look at the dogs at the Humane Society. We went by all the kennels, pausing to look at all the animals but when we got to Dante, I fell in love. We did not get him that day and instead over the next two days I kept bringing the dog up in conversation and checking the website to see if he had been adopted yet. Finally, after several days of talking about it, my husband and I agreed to go and see if he was still there for adoption. My husband was a little nervous at first, but as soon as he met Dante and spent some time with him, he was hooked too. Since bringing him home, he has been nothing but a wonderful companion. As soon as we walk in the door he runs and grabs a toy to bring to us and has shown nothing but patience when children play with him. We feel so lucky that we could have found such a well-behaved, well-mannered dog. |
