Alfie

I met Alfie at a small dog play group in September and we bonded immediately.

...But before I was able to adopt him, he was adopted by another family. I was heartbroken but so thrilled when his new family returned him a few days later. Chet helped me "foster to adopt" Alfie and I brought him home. I had to become a pet advocate in order to adopt him and as soon as I was approved I completed his adoption. Alfie now known as Max is a cherished member of my family. He has a serious heart murmur and takes several medications but that doesn't slow him down! He is so sweet and affectionate I am so grateful to have him. I want to thank the medical staff at NHS and Chet who helped make this adoption possible. Max has met his vet and groomer, he is doing very well in his new home with 3 "brothers", all senior small dogs who have accepted him into our home.
Thanks again everyone at NHS.
