All in the Family

Mother and daughter reunited.

My daughter adopted Rikki...the mommy dog on Aug. 16, 2012. She had been dropped off at the Omaha Humane Society pregnant and full of worms and 5 years old. My daughter was told that she was used for breeding and not taken very good care of. My daughter just fell in love with her wonderful sweet disposition...she was also worried that nobody else would want her since she looks pitbull (isn't), is 5 years old, and has saggy boobs from having so many babies. My daughter brought her home and I just fell in love with her. My daughter received pictures of her puppies from the foster mom once they were ready to adopt and I just HAD to have one of Rikki's puppies. I chose the girl that looked just like her. Since we live quite a ways from Omaha, it was going to be a week until we could make the drive to get her. Thanks to Nikki (foster care coordinator) and Asia (foster mom), we were able to keep the puppy with the foster mom for that week until we could get there to get her. Rikki and Lucy were soooo happy to see echother and just get along so wonderful...they are very happy together, and we are very happy to have them!
