Little Gem and King Midas  Two years ago, my husband and I decided to bring Midas home from the Humane Society... What a great fit he has been with us! Recently, I just knew we needed another pup to make our family complete. Without each other knowing, we were both looking at the website! As soon as I could, I came to the shelter in hopes of bringing a little girl home. When I got there, the pup I had my heart set on was in a room meeting another family. I was sad because I really had my heart set on her. Then I walked back through the kennels and she was back! It was love at first sight truly as I sat on the floor, played with her, took pictures of her and waited for my pager to go off. As soon as I met with the adoption counselor, she went and got Gem for me. There was no going back! She came home to a big brother, Midas, who is great with her, 2 other (human) brothers, Braedyn and Marcus, a dad who thinks she's too cute and me of course! Now our family is complete and I am no longer the only girl in the house. Thank you to the NE Humane Society for taking care of Midas and Gem until I could get there to bring them home! |
