Frances  My husband and I are new to Omaha; we came here from over 600 miles away so that my husband could go to school. We were living here for four months when we knew something in our lives was missing. My husband had always grown up with dogs and I had always wanted a dog. We decided to go looking for a new addition to our family when my husband was looking on the Humane Society website he found "Honey" (now Frances). He told me that he wanted to go look at her because he had a feeling she would be our dog. I thought he was crazy but I went with him anyway, and Frances found us. She leaned up against the cage and closed her eyes and I felt my eyes start to water. We knew then that she was a perfect fit for us! The staff was SO helpful to us and we couldn't be happier with our experience at the Humane Society. Frances has now been in our family for five months and everyone loves her, including all the neighborhood kids! She is so loving and kind and I love having her around while my husband is at school. From the first day we got her people have told us that she is the best behaved dog they have ever seen! We thought about getting a puppy or looking elsewhere for a pet but we made a perfect choice going to the Humane Society and Frances has adjusted so well we can't imagine our lives without her! |
