The First Pit Bull  Promise, now named Simi, became instant best friends with our resident dog Kimber and became a part of our little family. When we first heard that NHS would be adopting out pit bulls we decided we had to go see the first pit bull Promise. We had no intention of adopting a second dog but when we met this sweet girl our hearts melted and we couldn't leave without her. After an agonizingly slow 10 days in isolation for kennel cough we finally got to bring our new baby home in October 2009. Promise, now named Simi, became instant best friends with our resident dog Kimber and became a part of our little family. It took her no time to claim her spot in bed at night, right in between us with her head on the pillow, or her spot in the couch, in our laps of course. After spending some time working on her manners at home Simi became a breed ambassador in August 2011. |
