Rocky brings some much needed happiness and companionship into the life of my father in law.

Rocky (aka Charlie, adopted April 2011) has been the perfect companion for my father-in-law. When I saw him in the kennels at NHS, something about him just spoke to me and I knew he would be the perfect choice. He had been there for awhile, probably because he was older, big, male and mixed breed. Today Rocky and Mike enjoy going fishing and talking long hikes down the country roads of Stuart, NE. Stuart is a very small town and everyone in town knows Rocky. Every morning Rocky barks a hello at the neighborhood kids when they walk past the house on the way to the bus stop. He is a gentle giant and is so patient with the kids when they want to pet him and take him for walks. Rocky is the perfect example of why shelter dogs make the very best pets. He is very loved and we hope for many more years with him.
