A Wonderful Friend  A Wonderful Friend A Lucky Day for Two Dogs and Two Families I was lucky enough to go to the Nebraska Humane Society in July of 2004, where I met a beautiful black Cocker Spaniel you had named Joey. I fell in love with the little guy as he pushed himself against the kennel to allow anyone and everyone to pet him. I immediately wanted to adopt him and was happy I requested him when I did because there were several people in line waiting for me to change my mind. I'm sure glad I didn't! Joey has continued to be a wonderful companion who greets me at the door each night, wagging his tail so much that his whole behind wiggles. He's sweet, loving, playful, loves belly rubs, and is awfully nosy. :) My parents were with me that day and adopted a small Poodle they now call Emmy. Joey and Emmy are best of friends and love to visit each others' homes whenever they can. I can't thank you enough for giving me the opportunity to meet my best friend. I think he is pretty grateful as well!! |
