Mocha really likes a home where he can snuggle in bed with his person. Although...he does have a kennel set up in my room with the door open... he'll go inside both to explore or when asked with a treat.
He wasn't too happy to find out that some of the people in HIS elevator have dogs. After initially barking at "Lucky" our Chihuahua/maltese neighbor, he calmed down within a minute and they were amicable. We walked outside behind them.
He was not as fond of "Mabel" the pug from the 3rd floor. In his defense...she barked first. But he didn't stop barking until she was out-of-sight. We're working on that...
We also encountered some birds hopping around on the ground. Mocha was interested in watching them, but didn't make a sound or try to pursue them. We were about a foot and a half away from the birdie-pot-luck.
We pretty much spent the entire day with Mocha...playing ball, going outside, qatching Family Feud and Law and Order. We got some take-out and Mocha sat quietly next to us on the couch while we ate.
When it was time for bed, we again snuggled up and fell asleep together. Around 4 a.m. he was looking for some excitement and knocked over a 5 ft floor lamp...Broke a bulb. Minus the potty-training, it was the first "puppy" thing he's done. He is NOT a fan of the hand-vacuum! I turn it on...He barks...I turn it off he stops. On...Bark...Off...Stop.
