We Have Horses

We've talked so much about dogs and cats we forgot to mention we have horses.

We've talked so much about cats and dogs in the last 20+ hours that we forgot some of other animals currently looking for homes.  Did you know that NHS has many horses looking for Forever Homes. Here are just a few who are currently available. If you're interested in adopting a horse please please contact Kristie at 402-444-7800 ext. 325.

Pace
Pace is a retired racer and is 18-20 years old, she is a Dark Bay Thoroughbred mare. She has been ridden as a trail companion and needs an intermediate rider. Pace is a big beautiful girl that would love to get out and explore.

Splendor
Splendor is a 16 year old Paint mare that is ready to sit back and take it easy. She suffers from heaves and would do best with an outdoor, open pasture living arrangement. She is easy to get along with and would be a great companion horse.  Splendor has been doing very well and has not had any symptoms of heaves and we are going to try her with very light work and see how she does.

Keebler
Keebler is a 2-3 year old Pony Gelding, Keebler is as cute as a button and thinks he is pretty hot stuff. He is learning to lead with manners and load into a trailer right now. He is not broke to ride but would make a fun project for someone, he catches on pretty quick and is a smart boy.  Keebler has been started under saddle and has been doing great ! He is a smart and responsive little gelding.
