Our Little Monkey From the only kitten in the shelter to queen of our household! My husband and I adopted our little cat Monkey from the NEHS when she was just a kitten in 2009. She was the only kitten in the whole place and when we first saw her she was getting to know another family. Our hearts melted and we were filled with joy when we found out that the family was going to adopt a different cat and that we could have Monkey! The NEHS staff was so helpful and told us that she had been dropped off in a box overnight with her two brothers and little Monkey was the only one left that needed a forever home. She was all white at the time, but as she grew she became darker and showed features of a true Siamese. Her favorite activities are playing fetch with paper balls, batting at her feathers and bells on a stick toy, and laying in the warm sun. We can't picture our lives without her and she will be part of our family forever. We love Monkey and the NEHS :-) |
