Meet Webster! Thanks to all the staff and the Humane Society for all the hard work you do, and for pairing us with Webster!! My husband and I were already the proud owners of a 1-year-old female Boxer mix named Irie (I-ree) when we decided to add a playmate to the family. We loved her energy level and size, so we wanted to get a dog that was similar in all those characteristics. We had our eye on a female that had been at the Humane Society for a few months, but unfortunately, the meet and greet did not go well, and the other female started getting aggressive. We were disappointed, but luckily the Humane Society staff had some other dogs in mind. We met with two other dogs that day, one a Boxer/Lab, and Webster, a Boxer/Pit mix. Irie and Webster hit it off and were two peas in a pod. They had the same play style and seemed to love playing together. After some discussion, my husband and I decided to take Webster home. He has been a great addition to our family and definitely keeps Irie busy! We were told that he had some behavior issues (jumping up when excited, etc.), but we were very familiar with these issues, as they were also something that we worked with our original pup on. With that being said, the behavioral staff at the Humane Society obviously did some good work with Webster. He has good manners and is such a sweetie. Thanks to all the staff and the Humane Society for all the hard work you do, and for pairing us with Webster! |
