Sixty-five little dogs are bedded down at the Nebraska Humane Society on clean blankets, with food, fresh water, low lights and soothing music. The Chihuahua mixes were rescued from a hoarding situation in Falls City, Nebraska where they lived in crowded filth in a one story home. The ammonia levels spiked the meter, forcing rescuers to wear masks as they transferred the dogs out of the home. Initial exams found Fleas, skin issues, parasites and respiratory issues.
Now the tiny dogs are grouped in kennels where they are curled up together for emotional comfort. Over the next few days NHS staff will do veterinary exams, diagnose and treat ailments and make these kids comfortable with baths and nail trims. We are so thankful that we could be here when they needed us! But they also need you….
We can use your help to make the difference in these lives.
