Owly Growly (6 weeks)

What to expect from this class:   This class will provide education and training techniques to assist owners of mildly anxious and reactive dogs to better cope with situations that may result in excessive barking and lunging.  This class is not designed to teach a dog to play with other dogs.  It will teach the owner and the dog skills that will allow the dog to be walked in public places and around other dogs without reacting and to prepare the dog and owner to participate in a regular obedience class, if the owner so chooses. 

Who should take this class:   If you are anxious about taking your dog out in public due to excessive barking and lunging at other dogs, this class is likely for you.  Owly Growly classes have a different format than other classes offered through NHS and are taught by specialized instructors. What to bring to this class: Please bring a baggie of small soft treats.  Dogs need to be on a 4 or 6 foot nylon or leather leash.  No retractable leashes. The type of collar/harness is the handler's choice.
