Three Dog Bakery and Spaw are proud to present Omaha's 8th annual Growl-O-Ween: everyone's favorite Halloween costume party for dogs and dog lovers to benefit The Nebraska Humane Society. On Saturday, October 25th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Midtown Crossing, creative canines of all kinds are invited to show off their costumes, go trick-or-treating, meet new friends and raise money for four-legged friends that haven't found their forever home yet. Prizes Awarded in 4 Categories: Best Small Dog, Best Big Dog, Best Group (can include humans) and "Oh no, you did NOT do that to your dog!" Grrrreat Games & Events: Bobbing for Beagle Bagels, Candy Corn Catch, Pin the Tail on the Cat (not a real cat, don't worry) ... and more fun than you can shake a broomstick at! Prize Raffle: Bring a can or bag of pet food for your chance to win! For every pound of food you bring, we'll give you one raffle ticket for your chance to win fantastic prizes, including a deluxe dog bed, harnesses, gourmet treats, new toys and much more! All proceeds will go to help fill the Nebraska Humane Society Food Pantry. Registration: We do ask that all participants pre-register for the event so that we have a paw count--we'd hate to run out of treats! The suggested donation for the Nebraska Humane Society is $10 per dog. Register HERE. Upon checking in at the registration table, each dog will be given a special Trick-or-Treat bag. You'll want to keep that handy, because Trick-or-Treating time will begin right after costume winners are announced. After registering, we'll have a host of great games and activities for your dog to enjoy before the costume judging begins. Pin the Tail on the Cat, Bobbing for Beagle Bagels and the Candy Corn Catch are traditional favorites. If your dog isn't really into playing games, no problem--spectators are always welcome. Judging: Costume judging will begin around 10:30 am. To be considered for the costume contest, be sure to bring your pooch by the judging table between 10:30 and 11:30 for our panel of (almost) experts to evaluate. Once a top five in each category is chosen by the judges, semi-finalists will be called up on stage for the final round of judging (around Noon). A finalist in each category will then be chosen as our Grrrrand Prize Winners. Date:
